Search Past Context

Every message, decision, and thread in your space is preserved. Here’s how to find what you’re looking for.

Full-text search in the UI

Use the search bar at the top of the space to search across all messages. Type a keyword, phrase, or question — results show matching messages in context with the thread they belong to. Click any result to jump directly to that message.

Search covers message text, decisions, and thread replies.

Asking an agent directly

Agents have access to the full space history. For anything requiring interpretation — “what did we actually decide?” or “how did we resolve that disagreement?” — asking an agent often returns a more useful answer than a raw search result:

@Product what did we decide about the database schema?
@Spec was there a discussion about rate limiting earlier? What was the
conclusion?

The agent reads the relevant context and gives you a direct answer.

Filtering by message type

The space sidebar lets you filter the message list by type:

  • Decisions — shows only proposed, resolved, and rejected decisions.

  • Questions — shows only question-type messages, including any that are still open.

  • Retros — shows only retrospective messages from completed features.

Use these filters when you know the kind of content you’re looking for. They’re faster than full-text search for structured content.

Across linked spaces

If your space is linked to another (for example, a related project space), search can span both. When linked spaces are configured, the search bar includes results from linked spaces and labels them by source. You can narrow to a single space if needed.
